Successories July 13, 2010 - MAPA is excited to offer an enhancement of our services to your family. Our primary goal is to ensure that each child is thoroughly and efficiently evaluated in all circumstances (whether they are visiting for a routine well care exam or for a sick visit). Effective July 19, 2010, we will be scheduling ALL appointments (with the exception of "immunizations only" appointments and vision/hearing screenings) with a physician or nurse practitioner. History has taught us that many times a child comes into the office for a strep screen or other simple lab test (for example); only to find that the child's illness requires further evaluation by the physician or nurse practitioner. MAPA is fortunate to have a team of 6 Pediatric Board certified physicians as well as 3 nurse practitioners with extensive backgounds working with pediatric patients. We realize this is a shift in the way we function; however, we are confident that the increased level of assessment with each visit will be most beneficial for your child(ren). Please note that we will have a nurse available every Wednesday and Thursday to offer immunizations, vision screenings, and hearing screenings by appointment only.
