07/25/2014 - The MAPA Follow My Health Patient Portal is now available. Registration is quick, easy, and free. Provide your email address to one of our team members and we will gladly send you an email "invitation" to register. We look forward to serving your family better by adding this communication option. Take care - the MAPA team
7/3/2014 ... Please note that we are excited to announce that the new and improved MAPA "Follow My Health" patient portal will be launching Wednesday, July 16, 2014. Effective midnight, Sunday, July 6th, the MAPA patient portal will not be available - as final preparations for the launch of the new portal are made. Thank you for your patience in the interim. We look forward to sharing the "Follow My Health" patient portal option with your family.
4/17/14 - Happy Easter Weekend! Please note that our office will be open for nurse-triaged sick visits (much like a weekend clinic) on Friday, 4/18/14. This is different from the normal clinic in that we will not have a walk-in sick clinic in the morning. Please give us a call if you have questions or would like to have your child evaluated. Thank you!
2/14/14 - Happy Valentine's Day! We are here today for your pediatric needs. Please be careful coming up Piney Mountain Drive as there is some ice cover this morning and our parking lot has crunchy snow and ice. Yours in pediatric care, the MAPA team.
2/13/14 - MAPA will remain closed this morning and we will re-evaluate at lunch to see if conditions support an afternoon clinic. Please use our afterhours triage nurses to help determine the need to seek medical care. Stay warm.
2/12/14 - (update 12:00 PM) We have decided to close as Piney Mountain Drive has become difficult to navigate and we need to get our staff home to their families. Our afterhours phone nurses remain available to answer questions and, as always, guide you to urgent/emergent care as indicated. We will attempt to re-open in the morning with our walk-in clinic but hours may have to be shifted back to ensure patient safety. Thanks again!
2/12/14 - With the upcoming snow our office will make every effort to remain open for patient visits despite the weather. However, we take the safety of our MAPA staff seriously. In the event that our office is unable to open or is forced to close early we will update our phone message, website and Facebook page. As always, if you have a pre-scheduled appointment and cannot make it we appreciate the call...thanks and stay warm!
1/28/14 - Please note that our office remains open for patient visits despite inclement weather. If you feel that your child needs to be seen contact us for triage and an appointment. Similarly, if you feel that you will be unable to make a pre-scheduled appointment we appreciate a call so that we may open up that spot to sick patients. Thanks!
11/1/13 - We apologize for inconveniences the exterior painting of our beloved building will cause, but even she needs some upkeep from time to time. Please be careful that your children do not leave here with a new paint job as well :).
7/1/13 - Welcome to Dr. Meg Goodwin! Dr. Goodwin is new to the MAPA family from Duke University's Pediatric Residency program and our doctors and staff look forward to learning cutting edge pediatric care from her. Dr. Goodwin will be happily accepting new patients starting this Summer.
