Tina completed her B.S.N., M.S.N., and F.N.P. programs with an emphasis in pediatrics at Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, Florida. She completed her certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner in June, 2002. She loves to dote on her son who was born in 2005. Oh yes, we mustn't forget, Dandelion - her "doggie daughter".
Since Tina joined MAPA in October, 2004, she has enjoyed many aspects of life as a nurse practitioner at MAPA. She believes that being able to assist an new mom with learning to breast feed her newborn is a wonderful gift. She also says her opportunity to assist families adjust to life changing events and supporting healthy lifestyle choices is the most gratifying part of her nursing experience.
When Tina is not practicing as a nurse practitioner, she is enjoying being "Mom". She also takes a great deal of pleasure in hiking, camping, yoga, and reading. When asked what advice she would give parents, she responded: "Don't be afraid to ask for help from your family, friends, and community. People often want to help you but are hesitant to interfere."
