07/01/2010 *** Effective July 1, 2010, the North Carolina Universal Vaccine program (as it has been in the past) is no longer in force. Unfortunately, state budget cuts have resulted in the elimination of vaccine coverage for all NC children through the Universal Vaccine Program. As a result, it is extremely important that you (the patient representative) are aware of what your child's insurance plan will or will not cover with regard to vaccines. In the event that your child is given a vaccine that is not covered on your plan, you will be billed for the vaccine and expected to pay the charge in full. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may create for you. We were hopeful that the NC budget for immunizations would not be cut; but, the budget cuts could apparently not be avoided. Thank you for understanding that these cuts are out of MAPA's control. 12/15/2009 *** 10:20am MAPA will be offering a flu vaccine clinic (by appointment only) on Monday, December 21st and Tuesday, December 22nd between 9:00am - 4:00pm both days.
